This Week's Teaching:
STUCK IN A RUT
Exodus 14:15I want to talk to you
tonight about being stuck in a rut. God told Moses to tell
the people to “go forward” and God is still telling His
people to go forward. Too many of God’s people are stuck in
a rut. A rut is a deep groove made by a passage of wheels.
A rut is a fixed way of doing something; a way of thinking –
financially, religiously, relationship wise, eating
patterns, leadership style, etc. etc. If God designed us to
be innovative, creative and unique (and He did), than He
does not want us to be stuck in a rut year after year doing
the same things, going the same places, exercising the same
habits. God would have every day a brand new day of new
ideas, new opportunities, new desires.
But we do get stuck in a rut. I want
to discuss several reasons why we get stuck in the hope that
we can once and for all dislodge ourselves from that rut and
